EXPLORE NURSING:  Students will spend the week exploring a variety of exciting careers in nursing. This program features rewarding curriculum, hands-on activities and the chance to see modern, real world equipment and facilities.

EXPLORE DENTAL HYGIENE:  Could I become a dental hygienist?  This institute is designed to offer a glimpse into the rewarding career of dental hygiene and the role a dental hygienist plays in the allied healthcare field.

ASTRONOMY INSTITUTE


EXPLORE ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY:  Young Astronomers will learn to operate different telescope systems, including the big scope under the dome, which provides practice similar to that at professional observatories.

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE


EXPLORE COMPUTER BUILDING: (Hardware & Software):  Students will tear down and build up a computer system from beginning to end, learning all necessary component names.  Students will also build software programs.

CONSTRUCTION & ENERGY MANAGEMENT INSTITUTES

EXPLORE GREEN BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION-Students will spend the week exploring different aspects of green construction and building like carpentry, electrical, plumbing and photovoltaics through hands-on activities and projects.  This is a great introduction into the exciting fields in construction technology.

EXPLORE THE SCIENCE OF FOOD:  In this class students will discover science through food.  They will look for patterns in bubbles climbing through fluids.  Students will measure changing characteristics in food with changing temperature.  Some might call it cooking, but we call it experimenting.
