The Cabrillo Youth Summer Institute (CYSI) is back with some great changes and exciting new programs!

 • Click on the “Register Now” link under each specific institute
• Complete online registration and pay by credit card
• To pay by check, you must download forms and mail, with check, to the address below.  Checks must be received at least one week prior to the start of the camp

  • Two sessions, AM & PM are offered each week to give students a chance to explore more than one institute.

Programs include:  Allied Health, Astronomy, Computer Technology, Construction, Culinary, Digital Media   (photography, video production, animation, etc), Engineering for Girls & Engineering for Boys, Engineering &Science, Entrepreneurship & Social Entrepreneurship, Oceanography/Geology, Fashion,  & Food Science.

  • New programs in College & Career Readiness including SAT Prep, CareerCamp & College & Career 101.
  • High School programs in Culinary, Computer Technology, Construction & Energy Mgt, Digital Media, Entrepreneurship and College & Career Readiness.
  • Programs offered at our Watsonville campus

CAMP DATES

  • July 15-19 & July 22-26
  • August 5-9 & August 12-16
  • AM Session 8:30 AM-12:30 PM
  • PM Session 1:30-5:30 PM

• Students who attend both AM & PM sessions will be able to each lunch, and then be escorted to their next session.

CAMP DETAILS

  • Junior High institutes are for students entering 7th & 8th grades in Fall 2013
  • High school institutes range from 9th -12th grades.
  • Please note that some institutes are mixed ages
  • Two sessions will be offered
  • 8:30 AM-12:30 PM & 1:30 PM–5:30 PM
  • Camps run Monday-Friday at Cabrillo College in Aptos and Watsonville
  • Approximately 20-25 students per institute.  Culinary will only have 14 spaces
  • Each institute is $165 with the exception of Culinary which is $235
  • Camp tuition includes all materials and supplies
  • Scholarships are available for qualified students
  • Students who attend both sessions in a given week will be supervised by camp counselors during lunch, participate in activities and escorted to their next institute
  • Students attending both sessions will need to bring their own lunch
  • Institutes can be canceled due to low enrollment numbers
  • Camp registration is on a first come, first served basis
