Choosing Your Path

Choosing Your Path

Choosing your path in education means choosing a career path.

Considering multiple options and weighing your interests with your lifestyle goals will help you determine which career path to follow.  The pressure to know what you will be like when you are older can be daunting.

  • What will yoube drawn to?
  • What hobbies will still be relevant?
  • Will you still like your chosen career field when you’re 55?

The truth is that people will change jobs rather frequently early in their lives and fewer as they get older. According to the U.S. Department of Labor the median number of years that wage and salary workers had been with their current employer was 4.1 years in January 2008. Little has changed since January of 2006 when it was 4.0 years.
