Cooperative Work Experience Education (CWEE)

Cooperative Work Experience Education (CWEE) combines work experience with structured learning objectives and faculty guidance to assist students in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful transitioning from school to a professional setting. CWEE courses help students achieve their educational and career goals through paid or unpaid internships or work experience. While enrolled, students work with their employer and Cabrillo College faculty to achieve individualized learning objectives geared toward enhancing vocatioanal and professional skills.

Occupational Work Experience courses are related to a students area of study and/or career pathway and offer a hands on experiential instruction providing the necessary on the job skills to successfully enter the workforce upon graduation.

General Work Experience courses are intended to develop vocational and professional skils though hands on experiential instruction.  General Work Experience need not be related to a students area of study or pathway.
