Dr. Laurel Jones has had a distinguished, 30-year career serving California’s Community Colleges. Prior to her current role as president and superintendent of Cabrillo College, she was president of Mission College in Santa Clara, a community college in the West Valley-Mission Community College District with an enrollment of approximately 10,000 students per year. Prior to that, she served as the vice president of academic services at Las Positas College in Livermore and as the vice president of academic affairs at Solano Community College.
Before that, Dr. Jones was the dean of instruction at Mount San Jacinto College in Riverside County. She began her academic career as an instructor at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California.
